Guild's upcoming play a laughable look at lovePublished on February 8th, 2010 By ALASKA NEWSPAPERS STAFF The Bethel Actors' Guild is preparing for their production of the Broadway musical "I Love You, You're Perfect - Now Change!" Offered on the Valentine's Day weekend, the play is a humorous look at relationships from the Garden of Eden to the present day. "The Play is actually a series of short scenes depicting typical challenges of dating, getting married and starting a family" says director Mike Bricker. "Some of them are laugh-out-loud funny, but they all have a soft center that people can identify with." The show played for 10 years on Broadway, and has been a favorite of college and semi-professional theatre companies. "I guarantee people will walk out humming the tunes, and their stomach sore from laughing!" Bricker said. The play is offered at the YPCC Cultural Center Theatre on Friday, Saturday and Sunday February 12 - 14. "We will continue our tradition of Dinner Theatre on Saturday night," says BAG Board member Pam Conrad. "We're having deluxe prime rib with all the fixin's - baked potatoes, salads, appetizers and hand-crafted desserts. A perfect Valentine dinner date!" Tickets for Friday night and the Sunday matinee will be available at the door for $15 (tax included). Advance tickets for the Dinner Theatre ($50 +15 = $65 tax incl.) can be purchased from BAG members beginning in February, or by calling the BAG reservation line (907) 543-3674 and someone will contact you.
