Emergency Firefighter crews from Alaska board a jet headed to Utah on July 4 to work the wildfires burning there. Crews from Scammon Bay, Koyuk, Selawik, St. Michael, and Shageluk were on the flight. On July 2 crews from Nondalton, Copper River, Venetie, Fort Yukon and Kenai shipped out to help with the Fontenelle Fire in Wyoming.
