Williams talks of climate change impact on villages

Mike Williams of Akiak, veteran musher and chief of the Yupitt Nation, testified at hearings held by the U.S. Senate Indian Affairs Committee that the changing climate in rural Alaska is impacting how people live, according to the Anchorage Daily News. Williams said that three communities have been told by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that they need to move. He implored the committee to take meaningful action.
