Alaska Public Offices Commission sent notices to Holy Cross council members in June that required public official disclosure forms with the commission had not been submitted by the March 15 deadline, according to alaskadispatch.com. The fines levied amount to over $2,000. Mayor Rebecca Demintieff has written a letter appealing the APOC decision. In April, Concerned Citizens of Holy Cross filed the paperwork to recall the council for “failure to perform prescribed duties and misconduct in office.” However, the council was reelected on April 17.
