Youth essay competition deadline nears
Alaska Federation of Natives’ Alaska Marketplace is looking for the next Alaskan You Tube or essayist star.
AFN has invited all of Alaska’s youth (18 and under) to share ideas and address this year’s Alaska Marketplace theme, Investing in You, in video or handwritten essays.
Organizers are looking to hear thoughts about the businesses, activities, organizations or programs in Alaskan communities. Answering the questions: What do you like about them? What would you like to change.
The deadline to enter is Sept. 28. Prize money will be awarded.
Questions about the competition will be answered in weekly Twitter chats at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays, #akm2012.
