Council rejects public decency ordinance

Bethel City Council rejected on April 9 an ordinance that would have amended the city’s public decency code with new laws, according KYUK. The laws would have banned walking drunk on city streets and ice roads, littering, defacing property, shoplifting, selling tobacco to minors and excretion in public. The council will break the proposed law into sections that will come up in future council meetings.
