Resident found dead in house fire
A Shageluk resident reported a fire to Alaska State Troopers at about 4 a.m. Nov. 2. The resident reported that by the time he got to the fire scene at about 3:15 a.m., the roof of the structure had caved in and the entire stucture was engulfed in flames. Aniak troopers arrived on scene at about 12:30 p.m. and the remains of the stucture was too hot to enter. At about 12:40 p.m., a body was found. The body was sent to the state Medical Examiner in Anchorage for an autopsy and positive identificaton.
