Pitcher plants are plants that feed on insects and small animals. They trap their prey using leaves shaped into deep pitchers filled with sticky fluids, surrounded by leaves and flowers of a non-dangerous type. Prey travels from the safe flowers and leaves to the trapped ones and falls in.
